What Data We Collect
StdDatingOnline collects only the data needed to operate a verified dating platform. Three categories cover almost everything: account data you give us directly, profile data you choose to share with the community, and technical data your device sends when you use the app.
- Account data - email address, hashed password, date of birth (to confirm 18+), and country of residence.
- Profile data - handle, bio, photos, stated preferences, and the liveness selfie video used for verification.
- Messaging data - chats you send through the platform, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Device & usage data - IP address, device type, browser, approximate location, and product analytics events.
- Billing data - handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.

Each piece of data has a job. If a field doesn't have a job, we don't collect it.

The liveness check confirms photos belong to a present, real human aged 18+. Without it, the site fills with catfish profiles within weeks.

Stated preferences, location, and on-platform behavior feed our matching engine so the people you see are people you'd actually want to meet.

IP and device signals help us detect bots, scammers, and ban evasion. One-tap reports route to a human moderator.

Subscription billing flows through a payment processor; we receive only a token and the renewal date.

Discreet Billing Descriptors
Your bank statement will not out you. Charges from StdDatingOnline appear under a neutral, generic descriptor that does not reference dating, size, or any niche keyword. A typical statement line reads:

The descriptor may vary slightly by region or processor but never contains the words "dating," "adult," or any platform-niche term. If you ever see an unfamiliar charge, contact us and we'll match it to your account.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Period. We share limited data with a small set of vetted vendors who help us operate the platform - and only the minimum needed to do their job.

Cookies & Tracking
StdDatingOnline uses a small set of first-party cookies to keep you logged in, remember your theme preference, and measure aggregate usage. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not share cookie data with ad networks. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time without losing your account.

Your Rights & Controls
You own your account. The dashboard exposes the same controls our staff has - there's no hidden tier of access we keep for ourselves.
- Access - download a copy of your profile, chats, and account data anytime.
- Correction - edit or replace any field on your profile in real time.
- Deletion - close your account from Settings; we erase profile data within 30 days.
- Portability - export your data in a machine-readable JSON file.
- Opt-out - turn off non-essential analytics from Settings → Privacy.
- State-specific rights - California, Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, and CTDPA. Email us to exercise them.
Data Retention
Active accounts retain profile and chat data while the account exists. When you delete your account, profile content and matches are erased within 30 days, and chat data within 90 days. Liveness selfie videos are deleted by our verification vendor immediately after the match score is returned. Anonymized billing records and security logs are kept for up to seven years to satisfy financial and legal obligations.
